My Sisters and I are trying to find out more about our Great Grandad who came from Dornoch. His name was Donald Aird and was a Crofter in the area. He left Dornoch and came to Derby (Midlands) Where he became a Policeman and married our great Grandmother. We are fascinated by our Scotish family but don't know much about them. We would love to find out which croft he was at and look forward to a visit and find out more. Any suggestions for more research would be fantastic. May be there are still lots of Airds in Dornoch!
