The store offers a full range of food and drink including fruit, vegetables, meat, game, fish, cheese and dairy products. We focus upon local, Highland and Scottish produce but also ensure that we seek out award winning, unusual or hard to find suppliers wherever they may be.

We specialise in high quality pre-prepared meals and a full range of frozen vegetables, fruit, desserts and ice cream so that busy families, working people or holidaymakers can spend less time preparing food and more time with each other. We have created a wonderful range of cooking ingredients, sauces, dressings, pickles, chutneys, preserves and honey. Some of these have been made just for Dornoch Stores or are highlighted as our favourites “chosen by Dornoch Stores”. We have also sourced a full range of wine, spirits and beer, some of which reflect our Highland location but also cater for our diverse international community and visitors. We buy as much as we can direct from growers and makers and are able to offer great prices at retail and wholesale.

Finally we also sell newspapers, a selection of hard to find magazines, high quality takeaway coffee, fresh bread, pastries, pies, home baking and…..MR WHIPPY! In short the store can be used for your weekly shop, to cook dinner that day, put together a wonderful picnic, to buy gifts for friends or just to grab a quick coffee and cake.

Dornoch Stores – The Hardware Store

First established in the early 20th Century and a permanent fixture in Dornoch for over 100 years this is the Store you may remember from your childhood.

Packed to the rafters with everything and anything from the useful and necessary such as cleaning products, light bulbs, screws and nails to small tools and accessories for home repairs and DIY, including a wonderful range of paints and varnishes.

The store also stocks an extensive range of cooking and bakeware including everyday utensils, crockery and glasses. In the Spring and Summer a wide selection of seasonal plants, compost, seeds, feed and tools is available and ever changing. For the great outdoors we have hiking boots, outerwear and waterproofs plus camping, beach and picnic equipment.
