• By rail to Inverness, then the Wick/Thurso train to Tain (10 minutes by taxi from Dornoch)
• By air to Inverness, then hire a car (60 minutes to Dornoch)
• Dornoch has its own grass airstrip
• By road - A9 trunk road from Perth (3 hours drive to Dornoch with modern trunk road all the way)
• By bus from Glasgow, Edinburgh, London to Inverness, then onwards to Dornoch (hourly service)
