Dornoch Academy Summer Fair - 30th June

Posted on

On Thursday 30 June, from 10.00 am onwards, the school will throw open its doors to friends, family and the wider community. The school will host a craft fair to showcase local talent and support local businesses. We will entertain a wide variety of stalls with baking, bric-a-brac, and Beat the Goalie, a small cross-section of the activities on offer. We hope to have a careers stall, as well as Forces representation, the local lifeboat and emergency services, amongst other attractions.

In the afternoon, the entire school will undertake a fun sports event that will pit house against house to continue the drive towards the annual House Trophy. Family and friends are definitely invited here – prepare yourselves for the F1 Wheelbarrow Grand Prix, as well as the Blindfold Backwards Bike Race. Running an all-day barbeque and an ice cream van, we hope to see as many of you as possible.

The aim of our summer fair is to raise money for local charities as well as for the school fund. Our last similar event, Red Heart Day, raised £5000 for the British Red Cross. The overwhelming sense of purpose and commitment from all involved was nothing short of inspiring.

We warmly invite all friends of the school to join us, making this day one to remember and, all being well, a regular fixture on our school calendar.
